Cold water, a gentle wash and drying flat: the three habits that keep a sweater soft for years.

Start with what you wear most

Look at the pieces you reach for every week. They tell you which colours, fabrics and fits really work for your days, and they are the base everything else builds on.

Add one piece at a time

A striped knit, a bright cardigan or a pair of wide trousers can change a whole wardrobe. Add one, wear it with what you have, and see how often you reach for it.

  • Choose natural fibres that breathe and soften with wear.
  • Keep the base calm and let one piece bring the colour.
  • Check the fit at the shoulder first, then the length.

Care makes it last

Wash less, wash cold and dry flat. A knit that is looked after keeps its shape and colour for years.

Fewer, better pieces, worn often.
